Over the past few months, a paper entitled "A Simple Model of a Near
Infrared Near-Field Scanning Optical Microscope" has been prepared from
previously collected data. Although several new features are still being
added to this paper this preprint version is currently availble to read
online. In addition to preparing this paper, the laser cooling group was
given a thorough cleaning. This thorough cleaning was necessary to
eliminate possible problems that could arise from a dirty water supply
such as inconsistent pulse power levels which could in turn affect the
tuneability of the OPO system.
