During the past month, a Near-Field Scanning Optical Microscope (NSOM) model was developed utilizing the Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) method. At this point, this model is still a work in progress since some major results have not been obtained yet. Currently, however, a paper entitled Electromagnetic Scattering Analysis of PEC Objects Within the Near-Field of an Aperture Illuminated by an Incident Plane Wave Utilizing FDTD Methods is being written and will be updated as results are obtained.
