Interpreting the Results

After using the Clearplan Easy test stick, you should wait 5 minutes to read the result. After 5 minutes there should be a blue line in the small window of the test stick. If this blue line is present, you have performed the test correctly.

The large window in the test stick is used to determine if the LH surge has been detected or not. If there is no blue line in the large window or the line in the large window is lighter in color than the line in the small window, that means the LH surge has not yet occurred. However, if there is a blue line in the large window that is the same color or darker than the blue line in the small window, then the LH surge has been detected. Ovulation should occur within 20-44 hours after the LH surge has been detected.

Limitations to the Test

Some medications and medical conditions may interfere with the results of the Clearplan Easy ovulation predictor test. Some of these medications are Danocrine and injections containing HCG (such as Profasi) or LH (such as Pergonal). Also, if you are currently taking Serophene or Clomid, it is best if you consult with your physician before using the Clearplan Easy ovulation prediction test kit.

If you have recently discontinued use of oral contraceptives, your cycle may not yet be regular and more than one test kit may be necessary in order to detect the LH surge. In this case, it may be best to wait until your cycle is more normal before trying to use the test kit.

If you are pregnant or have recently been pregnant, you may get an inaccurate result. Menopause may also cause a misleading test result.
