COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT PERFORMING OR INTERPRETING THE TEST:

Q: After I collect my first morning urine, can I wait to test it later?

A: Yes. Put it in the refrigerator and when you are ready to test, let it warm up for half an hour. Do not mix any sediment on the bottom. Use urine only from the top surface.

Q: Does it matter how much urine I add to the vial?

A: Yes. The test works best when the urine is just up to the black line on the vial.

Q: Does it matter if the vial with the urine did not stand exactly 3 minutes?

A: Yes. The test works best if urine is in the vial 3 minutes before you pour it into the test well. If you let it stand between 2 to 4 minutes, it is still OK.

Q: Can I save my tests to show my doctor?

A: Yes. After completing each test, put the date on the test well and freeze it. Save the clear tube liquid. Just before you show your doctor the tests, let them warm up and rinse them with a drop or two of clear tube liquid or water.
